Dr Richard Walley OAM Nyoongar Statesman is one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal performers and writers. His life has been incredibly diverse and full of achievements. In 1993 Richard was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the Arts and promotion of the Nyoongar culture. Richard and his family have a base of 50,000 years of knowledge and experience that has much to offer contemporary society. Through the family business, Aboriginal Productions and Promotions, Richard and his wife Robyn Smith-Walley have created a range of products and services which provide an understanding of Aboriginal culture and how it can apply to personal and business growth.

In 2015 The Walley and Coakley families established Kworp Marr, meaning “good hands” in the language of the Nyoongar people of the South West of Western Australia. Kworp Marr offers cultural workshops to Aboriginal youth in Western Australia.
Cultural Workshops for Aboriginal Youth Groups
Wescorp donate a percentage of profits from the Sandalwood Seed Oil sales to Kworp Marr. The donations fund educational and cultural workshops and programs for Aboriginal youth. The programs that are developed by Richard and Robyn enable Aboriginal youth to gain a better understanding of their cultural heritage. Kworp Marr believe this will enable their confidence and pride, and prepare them for future education and career challenges.
Kworp Marr funds workshops offered to Aboriginal youth participants in the Southwest Aboriginal Basketball Competition. The workshops engage students in cultural language, dance and music. These workshops are directly funded by the profits donated by Wescorp from the Sandalwood Seed Oil sales.
